Frequently asked questions

The pricing and policy details that used to be scattered — gathered in one place.

The practice

What kind of practice is Misra Wellness?

Misra Wellness is a physician-led Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice. Care is provided without insurance billing and without third-party restrictions — which is what allows for longer visits and direct access to your physician.

Who provides care?

Dr. Sulagna Misra, an MD with board certifications in Internal and Integrative Medicine, plus Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) status and BCMAS. She is licensed in California and New York.

What does the practice focus on?

Menopause and perimenopause care, medical weight loss, men's health, hormonal and metabolic health, integrative medicine, and related midlife concerns.

Telehealth, insurance & location

Is care virtual or in person?

Care is provided primarily through telemedicine — most patients are seen virtually. We do have a Los Angeles office.

Where can I be located?

California and New York only. You must be physically located in CA or NY at the time of a virtual visit.

Do you bill insurance?

No. Misra Wellness does not bill insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. All care is self-pay.

Pricing & membership

What does the initial consult cost?

$250 for medical weight loss or men's health alone; $350 for women's health or combined / Full DPC care. The consult includes physician evaluation and care planning (labs and medications separate).

What is the monthly membership?

$149/month for medical weight loss or men's health alone; $249/month for women's health or Full DPC care. Membership includes direct access, personalized follow-up, and individualized treatment plans.

Is there an option without membership?

Yes — à la carte visits are available at $350 for 30 minutes or $500 for 60 minutes, and the "Why Do I Feel This Way?" 90-minute consultation is $950.

What's the membership cancellation policy?

Current patients have priority. Membership requires a 30-day written cancellation notice. Memberships cannot be paused. Discontinued members rejoin through the waitlist.

GLP-1 & medications

Do you offer GLP-1 medications?

Yes — semaglutide and tirzepatide are offered when clinically appropriate after a medical evaluation.

How much do GLP-1 medications cost?

Medication pricing is dose-dependent and confirmed during your meet & greet and initial consult. It is billed separately from the membership.

Getting started

How do I become a patient?

Start by requesting a free 15-minute virtual meet & greet through the contact form. After you submit, we follow up by call, email, or text to coordinate a time. All bookings are by appointment only.

Why a meet & greet instead of just booking?

Because we don't bill insurance, fit matters on both sides. The meet & greet is a no-pressure conversation to make sure the practice is right for you before any commitment.
